Welcome to our blog--what was your favorite read?
Hey ladies---welcome to our official book club blog. This is a place for us to connect between book clubs, share our thoughts on the book-of-the-month or other books we're reading and connect with former book club members. Anyone can become a blog author. Just let me know and I'll sign you up. For our first post, review the books we've read on the right and share you're all-time favorite. Does one of the books stand out above the rest? Why?

Hi gang,
It's amazing the number of books we've read together (and that we've stayed together through the years!).
I have a pretty short memory, so for me to call out a book as a favorite means that it probably touched me very deeply or made me really think hard about something. So, I would say the two that stick out to me as "favorites" are The Life of Pi and The Poisonwood Bible. I think would really enjoy re-reading these, as it's been so long and it would interesting to see if I feel the same way about them as I did a few years ago.
I'm posting to because 1) the blog is a great idea and 2) I fear Ashley's wrath.
I guess I would pick as favorites books I might not have picked up on my own, which I guess is one of the best parts of book club. I was pleasantly surprised by "Freakonomics." Also, I would have to agree with HaiVy in selecting "The Poisonwood Bible." I can't wait to re-read that one.
I have not been in book club nearly long enough to be able to fully participate but I have to say The Great Gastby is a book that I can read over and over again - I had read it in high school and I found it to be very different the second time around!
